Camille Boykins
(Univ. Michigan)

Generated a diverse set of landmarks including their full name, latitude, longitude, and a thorough description of each site.

Select landmarks were chosen from this list to create 3D models and place them directly in World Wind.

This Excel file, landmark catalog.xls, will eventually be implemented XML to make additions to World Wind easier and more accessable.

David Goldfarb
(Syracuse Univ.)

David programmed a joystick interface to World Wind to make navigation simpiler and more intuitive. In addition, he implemented the placing of the 3D models pictured above on the actual globe. This allows people to see a landmark exactly where it is (or was) in history.
